I admit that the first time I checked out Bernie's music it was only because I'm a huge baseball fan but I can honestly say that I was stunned at how his music grabbed me. It would seem that the former Yankees star is a man of many talents. He Reigns, Moving Forward, and Go For It are all great, and his mellow rendition of Take Me Out to the Ballgame is beautiful and nostalgic. I highly recommend this music (and you know I mean it being a Sox fan!).

While Bernie was a terrific center fielder for the Yankees and an outstanding athlete, his guitar playing and the overall tenor of the album is merely ordinary. Obviously he has assembled some fantastic studio musicians to surround himself with but they can't cover up the lack of soul in the center. It just doesn't work.

Outstanding - heard this song and the fantastic guitar work by Mike Stern and immediately knew that Bernie Williams is the real deal. Go for it will be a smooth jazz standard with a little air time.

I am a HUGE Yankee fan and Bernie was one of my favorites. Now a musician, he is still great. Both of his albums have great songs. Love "The Way" from The Journey Within. "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and "Go For It" are spectacular. Watching one of his live concerts, his music was great and everyone loved it. GO BERNIE!!!!!

I've always loved Bernie as a Yankee, and I have now a newfound love for him as a jazz musician. The entire album is terrific, but what is especially endearing is Bernie's version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." It's just lovely.
