Boogieman pumps life back into rock music. This album threads an element of pure straight-ahead rock through each song. From the upbeat openers of 'Good Teacher' and 'You're The Kind Of Trouble' to rockers like 'Kickin' & Screamin' and 'You got What I Want', the songs give you a pure rock & roll delivery. There's no holding back on this album! Even the ballad-like 'Shoebox' will remind you of a Seger or Springsteen-style song in it's delivery and songwriting. Pure and real. 'Just For The Thrill' revisits Texas-style Blues. Plain & simple: this album ROCKS! It is a must-get for straight-up rock fans!

Saw Tom as the opening act for Buddy Guy...never heard of him prior, but after his show, can't understand why every one hasn't! The talents of this man and his music were beyond entertaining. His heart and soul were in every letter and note while keeping the otherwise uninterested audience engaged. Brilliant presentation with his "hi-tech" drumming and the singel piano accompaniest who was also fantastic! The songs mean even more after hearing him perform them.Go see and hear this talent.

I bought this music on the Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man cruise this January. Tom sang many of the songs from this album and if you weren't a die hard fan to begin with...you were when the show was over. The Boogieman album takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions! You groove to the blues and boogie sounds of "Good Teacher", "Corn Dog" and "Boogieman". I've seen "Nineteen" sang live and the crowd always ends up standing in respect to the words that shower our military personnel with the recognition they deserve. And "Shoebox" has men and women alike choked up as they reflect on past memories when the words of this song stirs the emotions. As I said, it's a rollercoaster and you'll find yourself pressing the REPEAT button to hear your favorite picks over and over. Tom Hambridge absolutely delivers the "boogie" on this CD. I encourage folks to buy this one not just for themselves...but to play the music when they gather with their friends for a good a time. I mean, who in their right mind doesn't like to boogie with their friends?!

Masterful! No exaggeration. Hambridge manages to distill 100 proof spirit from his lyrics and juice them even more through his great production. The man has so many sides to his talents - writing, performing, production, honestly this is an artist who proves it so well in Boogieman. He can ROCK as hard as anyone, dig out the orneriest (is that a real word....? - well, sounds good to me) darkest blues and then just kill you with the most sensitive and insightful lyrics - check out "You're the Kind of Trouble", with Delbert McClinton, Corn Dog, You Got What I Want and then he'll turn you inside out with Nineteen and Shoebox. Shoebox - is truly incredible. Buy this recording - it is really masterful.
