Not only are these performances among the best you'll hear of the Sondheim masterworks, but the London Times was more than accurate when they called Cleo Laine "quite simply the best singer in the world"
  • I'm Calm not sung as meant to be

I only bought one song: I'm Calm, which is a hilarious, sarcastic song about being calm when you're really not. Unfortunately, this singer didn't seem to understand that point and sings it without the sarcasm. For example, there is a line that says something like, "I'm calm, when other people worry, I laugh" and then there is histerical laughter that shows the person is really not calm. Without that histerical laughter (and other similar items), this song is NOT the funny song it is supposed to be.
