I know many think that Kiss Me and There She Goes are Sixpence great hits. But that is only because they have not heard this album. I remember listening to this in youth group and loving it. It served as inspiration for my musical endeavours as well as for a young Christian.

This is by far their best album. How i wish they could get this lineup back together for a reunion concert. Their sound hasn't been the same since. Slocum hasn't written an album since that has melded honesty so seemlessly with the music. Unfortunately this album set the bar so high for him (them). Subsequent albums have not measured up, IMHO.

I've been listening to this album for years now, and it never gets old. Beautiful lyrics and beautiful music. One of my top five favorite albums ever--don't miss it!
The first five songs and the last song make this an outstanding album.

The rest of the songs are worth hearing, too. Sixpence was such a great *band* on this album. The bass and drums are tight and consistently inventive. The additional female singer/guitar player adds wonderful color to every track. The guitars pack a punch, especially on the first 4 songs. They must have been phenomenal to see live back then. This is quintessential Sixpence. Don't miss it.

This is the album that made me a permanent Sixpence None the Richer fan.
It's been rather hard to get these days because of Sixpence's constant label issues. Glad to see it here for future generations to discover. I can't think of a song on here that didn't speak to my soul at one time or another.
