Thats exactly what the lyrics to this song mean, A hiding to Nothing is one of the best written trance songs i've seen in a while. Trance is mostly focused on fixed emotions like sad, rage or utter happiness but with a song like this, you've got to give in. Emma Lock's voice is amazing put into that type of snythesized state throughout the first 2 minutes of the song. During those two minutes a beautiful climax occurs with her voice. After the verse a breaking point happens in the song where the beat takes a continous plunge then leads off into a great bridge and breakdown of the first two minutes repeated, i love songs like this!! Puts me in a trance like state just hearing the reoccurring percussion instruments as well as her voice echoing.
