I saw Edie Brickell perform "Give it Another Day" on Jimmy Fallon and she had such a connection with the audience and the camera. I'm happy to find that the studio version of the tune has the same vibe to it. She has such a unique vocal quality it's important that she stays on the circuit.

Been a huge fan since I used to go see her live in 1986 and have been in love ever since. Heard "Pill" on her website a couple of years ago...glad to see it make its way to an album, great song. Love this album!!!! Another collaboration of hers is coming out this month as well under the name of The Gaddabouts.

Love her. I wish she would do a duet with Tom Petty. I think that would be amazing!
Like an old friend

It's so nice to hear Edie's voice again - it's like seeing an old friend after many years. Many of Edie's melodies have been with me through thick and thin with their honesty and kindness. "It Takes Love" is inspiring and I love the 60's groove of "Pill". Cool too that she released the album on 1-11-11!
Yay!

So nice to have some new music from Edie. Sounds like some jewels that will play over and over again nicely. Just wished that she included that charmer "The Stories We Tell Ourselves" which graced her website until recently, with the wonderful video. Hopefully it will resurface permanently; it was a favorite of mine. : )
Whoooohoo A Doxie on the cover!

Edie Brickell has long been one of my favorite writers and performers. She tells stories and shares emotions in a way that only a true poet can. She has produced a steady stream of music over the last several years that showcase her talent and this album is no exception. Now she has added guitar to her songwriting skills and a voice that just keeps getting better, proving that she is an artist that will be around for years to come. A beautiful production, too!
good one

Great to see some new music from Edie Brickell!
Weather it's with the New Bohemians or others, it's always a treat to get new music from Ms. Brickell
She is so underrated and deserves more attention for her beautifully unique voice and brilllant song writing.
I love the slightly more upbeat tone of this new album
