    I wanted to hear the full set of works before writing this review. There are better recordings of these pieces. Of that I have no doubt. But these are quite listenable recordings. I do not listen to music much via headphones - perhaps those who do can pick up things I did not hear. When I rransferred this music to CD or played them through my small shelf system they sounded very good. I bought this offering because of the conductor (Jarvi) as well as the orchestra (Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra). Their recording of Tchaikovsky, Borodin and Rimsky-Korsakov (with the GSO Choir) is exquisite (the 1812 Overture with a choir - no other recording matches it). I was very fortunate to have found this offering on iTunes. 7+ hours of Tchaikovsky works by Neeme Jarvi and the GSO - well worth the price.

    Jarvi conducts Tchaikovsky well and there is lots of power and beauty throughout the symphonies. Unbelievable bargain!

    Great price with a large selection of Tchaikovsky's music, however, I found the quality to be rather poor with much distortion andsome odd pops and crackles. You get what you pay for .... however I think $8 is too much for inferior recording. No fault of the orchestra

    Couldn't believe the price for such good recordings. Not sure how the performances actually rank compared to some of the other complete sets out there, but for this price it's hard to go wrong.

    I had to check the price on this album in 3 different devices before believing it to be true; and check my recipt twice after purchasing! At this price, it doesn't even matter who is playing, this is an absolute steal! Tchaikovsky's (almost) entire orchestral oeuvre for under 8 bucks! If you are a musician, student or simply am afficionado you need to buy this!

    As not much of a classical expert, I can't judge this vs other renditions or platonic ideals. But you get a superbly engineered and moving rendition of Tchaikovsky's symphonies and related works. We were particularly smitten by symphony #1- measured, disciplined, beautiful throughout.
