Best "dialed-in" tone I've heard. The guitar fills the room.

Although Jimmy is one of the greats he never seems to be as at home as he was while in the nighthawks. the combo of Wenner, Regusa, Zukowski and Thackery was the stuff legends are made of. Saw him play a new years eve bash at Skippers in Tampa with all the past and present members of the Nighthawks. It was an evening of musical magic.

This is one of the best examples of blues/rock guitar I have ever heard. I am a player and this guy has definately got it going on.

He's been burning up the frets since the '70s, first with the Nighthawks, then as leader of the Assassins, and now the Drivers. This collection showcases why Stevie Ray & Jimmy Vaughan always used to love to hang out with Jimmy--they could learn a thang or two. As manager of the Assassins in the '80s, I got to see Thackery wail on his Strat every night...and never got tired of it. This collecton is great for those who just wanna hear him stratoblast, preferably at ear-wailin' level. No doubt you've heard some of the rest...now hear the best! Enjoy!
