The Maine does not disappoint. Ever.
  • The Maine's Best Work

This particular album is definitely the best put together album The Maine has. The instrumentals are constantly gorgeous, and many of them have a kind of classic rock feel to them. The lead guitar especially knows exactly what needs to happen to make the song beautiful. And the lyrics have a deeper meaning than Can't Stop Won't Stop and Black and White's obsession with sex and nostalgia.

I believe that this album was the best thing to ever happen to The Maine. Their sound has been growing and evolving, and it all leads back to here. One of my favorite albums of all time.

You haven't lived life until you've listened to this album front to back.

This is really pop music, not alternative. This recording is good for easy listening to catchy melodies. After 3 or 4 hearings, nothing new will be discovered in this very mediocre songwriting. Sounds llike a light Hinder and a superficial Mancehster Orchestra.

This album shows the true meaning of the band itself and what they're plans are. Their label did not like a lot of songs they created for this album so the Maine dropped the label and put out the album themselves and succeeded with all their hard work.
  • Better with age...

I'm assuming when people listen to this they're expecting their "old sound", and truthfully I didn't like what was going on with this album when I first heard it. Black & White was refreshing but it wasn't really enough to differentiate it from Can't Stop Won't Stop. It was more of a sequel than a new album. If anything, Pioneer was a leap in the right direction (hence the title...boldly going where they have not gone before). It's uncomfortable for them to change, but I found that in the past year where I at first never would have liked their new music, have grown into it. I set it aside, grew up a little, came back, and I'm finding it much more relateable. This album gets better with age.

I like some of their songs but I much prefer their old songs!

It's real, it's sincere, it's honest, and it means something. I like it.
  • THE MOST PERFECT ALBUM EVER

Just finished having a good laugh at all the close-minded reviews giving this amazing album a mere 1 or 2 star rating. To be perfectly honest, I'd give this album 10 out of 5 stars because it's just that good. I've been a listener of The Maine for a long time. Their previous stuff was good and catchy with some cute lyrics, but this album is a whole different story. This band has "blossomed into something that I did not expect." The maturity of their new sound outdoes any of their previous music and shows the outstanding progression The Maine has made over the past few years in comparison to other bands. I listen to this album every single day and don't get sick of it. It's got that catchy, background music capability but at the same time is something you can really connect with on an emotional level. It just gives off good vibes in general. It's one of those albums with such uniqueness that it should be at the top of the charts. Some of the most outstanding songs, in my opinion, include Jenny, Waiting For My Sun To Shine, Identify, Don't Stop Listening To Rock And Roll, When I'm At Home, and Misery. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed by this album. But I recommend that you really turn it up and listen to it LOUD for the first time. I have a lot of faith in these guys and I think they'll go far, so long as more people will give them a listen.
