Cinnamon Chaser IS Russell Davies… the talented son of The Kinks Dave Davies, nephew of Ray, who proves musical ability, is in the DNA of this family. But, don’t be misled by the family ties, the Chaser is pure electrifying dance. Dreams & Machines opens with an eponymous melodic, electronic, pop-pulser, which rapidly becomes Chaser’s signature. Notable among the tunes on this inspired CD is Watch the World Burn and Hyperwaves - minutes of dance-throb accented with sci-fi voice overs; Burn the Fire with a vocal that echoes & weaves throughout the song: Guitar Track’s memorable bass and guitar riffs and the album’s closer, Another Life, both popdance tunes that could easily become cross-overs for the Chaser. If John Lennon were writing dance, he’d be a Cinnamon Chaser. Cinnamon Chaser dares you to sit still to its hypnotic refrains as it palpitates & pounds & dreams though almost 45 minutes of symphonic electrification.
