Tony joe's fourth album finds him maturing musically and beginning to look Elvis-esque, but the songs are delivered with the same soulfulness, sincerity and sometimes, sense of humor that his fans had become accustomed to. Two really good singles titled "Delta Love" and "Lustful Earl & the married woman" were released around this same time on the same label (Warner Bros.). Too bad they're not offered here as bonus tracks. What a treat that would be in addition to the rest of these great songs!
