  • Liszt IS Psychedelic!

God I love this! Liszt is EPIC! however... The sound quality seems a bit off... like it clips or something... not the best recording.. it's also heavily gated.. which distracts from the music.
  • Earl Wild's performance of the Mephisto Waltz

This is standard to which all others pianists aspire. Easily the best performance of the Liszt Mephisto Waltz around.
  • Some of the best...

These recordings are a stellar example of a wonder pianist playing some of the most extraordinary music ever written for the piano. I being a pianist myself, cannot get the sound of the piano as full or intense. Bravo to Wild and Sherman! A must have.
  • Worth it for Earl Wild alone

These Earl Wild recordings of Liszt are in a class by themselves. This was the first commercial recording of "Robert le Diable" and the Mephisto is one of the best of all time. The Maestro was in top form and in his element. A must-hear.
