I bought the LP when it was released in 1982 hoping for "Another Green World" but was disappointed by what I thought was a sound effects record. But it grew on me over a long time and became a favorite Eno record, as great as Another Green World though completely different.
Some call this dark ambient. I don't think of it as dark or menacing. To me it feels like walking in a misty late autumn forest where the tree shapes emerge out of the fog only when you get close.
I have been listening to this wonderful work since 1982 and it sounds just as fresh and mysterious as the first time. It never gets old. It never will.
