Don't let my awkwardly phrased title fool you, this album is AMAZING. Ron Pope's music is so heartfelt and pulls at every emotion you could possibly have while listening. I've had Calling Off the Dogs on repeat since its release in January. Personal favorites are "Lick My Wounds", "Silver Spoon", "Nothing", "New Friends" and "Blood From a Stone". Also, he sounds exactly like this live so catch a show if you can! I really appreciate his talent in performance and songwriting. You won't regret this purchase!

What happened to Ron Pope? I enjoy his earlier songs but this album was way off the mark. Lyrically this album is very depressing and sad. It's painfully disheartening. Calming and intriguing sounds hum throughout some songs, which is one of the only positives. This album doesn't come close to his earlier work. It lacks the heart and whimsy that I thought Ron Pope projected into his music.

It's Ron Pope. What else needs to be said? I've been waiting for this one, and I'm so happy it's finally out! And it's awesome! Worth the wait, worth the talk about it, and worth spending money on. And it's a steal, too, at the price it is.

I absolutely love Ron Pope!! Nothing has to be my favorite track off this album so far. Granted I've only owned it less than 30 minutes.
