  • There are a Few Anglican Hymns that give me chills, All are on this

There are a few Hymns sung in the Anglican Communion that give me chills up and down my spine and move every fiber of my being. There are a few in that collection that can bring me prostate and in complete adoration of the Master. The ones that do that are all on this CD. The Choir of St. George’s Chapel, Windsor’s Castle singing them puts it over the top. I would be inclined to suggest this come with a warning to the listener to not operate heavy equipment when listening to this and it is best enjoyed in quiet adoration of a scenic outlook of outdoors to give rise in the comfort and blessings one feels with this well chosen selection of hymns. If you close your eyes you can almost reach out and touch 'Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland' sitting right next to you in the Chapel. This is a must have any library of a Anglophile and lover of great hymns.

"Ye watchers and ye holy ones" reminds me of the Papal Mass held at Nationals Stadium in Washington, DC. Perfect rendition here - a must own for spirit seeking Catholics.

Excellent collection of hymns...I grew up Episcopalian and many of these bring back those memories. Without a doubt, my favorite is Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent. Despite the strange title, it is actually an old 15th Century French melody (Picard) put to words of prayer and was in the Hymnal of 1906. This version is excellent, and this is one of the most haunting hymns I've ever heard. Others, for those of who who go to a Christian church, these are among the choirs favorites. Definitely worth buying the album.
