  • Timeless Smithereens

I've loved this band for a quarter century, and this album is an homage to exactly why. What a great band to catch live, and if you can't, a live album is the next best thing. Pat and the boys sound as fresh and on point as they did when the band first came on the scene.

Each song from the legendary Smithereens evokes an emotion. They strike a nerve, and the feeling lasts, passionate, powerful, beautiful and timeless. This particular collection sounds as fresh today in 2014 as many of the songs did 20 plus years ago. What I find so unique on this album is the selection of songs that blend so well together. The Reens have earned a spot in my top 10 bands of all time with the LP Green Thoughts in the top 5 albums, and now its time for them to really be recognized by the voters for induction into the Rock Hall of Fame. NOW.
