This video provides student insight into what an actual course is like when doing vocational training (VET) during school. It includes information about: how to find out about the course, a typical training day, practical activities and theory components, challenges and how they may have been overcome, impact on SACE, pathways to further education, training and work. Beauty courses help students to develop skills in skincare and makeup, including for special occasions such as catwalk, photo shoots etc., ear piercing, eyebrow shaping & lash extensions, merchandising, retailing and communication. Both practical and theory components of Hairdressing are delivered. Students will apply acquired knowledge through supervised work placements as they prepare themselves to apply for an apprenticeship and continue the training pathway.
