Design & Direction for a series of 10 idents for the Toon Disney Channel in Scandinavia. Following research into the popularity of craft activities amongst Scandinavian children, we created a hand-made 'Toon' City constructed entirely from paper, cardboard and included hand-stitched detailing. 10 stories were created by sifting through hours of rotoscopable footage of characters that appear on the Channel. These shots were then combined to form narratives for the 10 different stories. Based on these edits, we created cardboard settings for the rotoscoped characters to be composited into. Bringing together animated characters that would normally never meet, by taking them out of their familiar situations and bringing them to a common setting. The sets were built and shot at Clapham Road Studios.
