When Gil Scott-Heron released The Revolution Will Not Be Televised in 1970, he had some home truths to tell about a world of prejudice, imbalance, corruption and apathy. Today things aren’t much different. While the players may have changed, the underlying problems remain – and some have become more ingrained. Our reboot pays homage to the creator of the song, while serving as a reminder that the fight for a fairer society continues. The lyrics, music and video were produced by young people at Exposure to coincide with the launch of Journey to Justice, an organisation honouring those struggling to secure human rights.
