As a follow-up to the original My Life My Town profile produced by Greg Kendall-Ball and Alexandra Olgin in 2012, My Sister My Responsibility revisits the life of the resilient Monica Smith, a 21-year-old woman from Higginsville, Mo. trying to balance her second year of college while working long hours at Pizza Hut and raising her 7-year-old sister, Gracie. Though Monica did move into a house of her own, she now lives with her grandparents again until she, her boyfriend Dylan and her sister, Gracie can afford to live on their own.
