Madre, shows grace and devotion of a mother. As a movement research, the work combines both forms of flamenco and classical Indian following the musical form, Solea, a flamenco musical rhythm in 12 counts. The many arms of a Hindu Goddess represents her many manifestations, relating this to the modern day tasks of a working mother. Their wave like movements is derived from Yemaya, the mother goddess of the seas. Inspiration is derived from of Parvati, Lakshmi, Shakti, Durga and the three Marys of the Bible.
