(project With Kerwin Rolland) Presented for 3 days in December, 2007, in Paris. Installed in an apartment, place of life and work of an artists collective, House Mix used the flat and its furniture in the state it was, to generate an unpredictable composition. This composition lived in the organization of successives layers of resonances of various parts of the furniture of the flat, (wall cupboard, door, suitcase, partition, kitchen sink, washing machine, shelf). It was creating a set of textures and tones specific to the place within which the visitor evolved. ------------------------------------- Any body or assembly of solid bodies can be made to vibrate by transmitting a periodic excitation whose frequency corresponds to one of its internal frequencies of resonance. This property is used on a hall of the Saltworks of Arc et Senans built by C.N Ledoux. The various present elements are put in vibration by low frequencies via a computer program that analyzes the resonances of the site. Every element produces then its own sound signature. The architectural space is so discovered in the form of a complex volume but also through the resonant specificities of its various components.
