'Play/Play' evolved as an outcome to playing during a residency at The Barber Shop, Norwich. (2016) The sound installation was played during a live opening event, the speakers were set up close to the objects that were 'speaking'. It is a mini sound play that personifies objects through giving them voices. The objects chosen are in transition between installation and show and contemplative and inquisitive of their own existence. The dialogue that occurs between each of the objects demonstrates the appropriation that has taken place, the objects that usually support artists in residence for install have now become characters in a play with their own personalities.
