As a part of a course on the Natural History of the Black River Watershed at Oberlin College, Professor of Geology Bruce Simonson details the dynamic geological history of the Black River and Lake Erie. Spanning across 400 million years of history, Bruce uncovers the origins of shale and sandstone bedrock, the impact of glaciation, how glacial erratic boulders traveled here from Canada, and the formation of Lake Erie and the Black River.
