The Pop-up Local Food Cinema will play three films as a part of a Pop-Up Food Hub at the Oberlin High School on March 16 from 10:30-1:30pm. The films include the work of Tom Kondilas (LESS Productions, Cleveland), Mika Johnson (Art + Practice, Oberlin), and Brad Masi (Blue Heron Productions, Oberlin). Together, the films weave a mosaic of challenges, ideas, and practices coming from those on the ground working to grow local food economies in northeast and southeast Ohio. Whether backyard homesteading. creating community investment capital, or improving local food access in urban neighborhoods, these films capture local food works from Cleveland, Oberlin, Athens, and other communities in northeast and southeast Ohio.
