Flat Earth. A video, duration 9 minutes, black and white, 1994. Selected screenings; Amsterdam, Glasgow, Hull, London, Madrid and widely across Europe. Fragmented sequences of landscape imagery are glimpsed through layers of reflective glass. A text, consisting of all possible permutations of the letters, ENGIRE, (ENGland, IREland) progressively disrupts the view of this landscape. Hands are seen attempting to clean the glass but they only succeed in covering it with more layers of text. Sounds of rioting haunt the audio track.
