Hong Kong protests on China's 70th anniversary

Hundreds of thousands of protestors marched in Hong Kong on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in a show of anger against Beijing's authoritarian rule. Banners celebrating the anniversary were set on fire, and eggs were thrown at Chinese President Xi Jinping's portrait. Meanwhile, China's largest ever military parade was being carried out in Beijing.
