The Kaveri River is one of India's Seven Holy Rivers, and the most sacred in southern India. I set out to walk the length of this River, documenting my journey through photographs and audio recordings. This short clip is an introduction to the river and my trip. For 500 miles I walked from village to village, eating at basic cafes, filling my water bottles at pumps and sleeping in villages or out under the stars.
