Host Terri Cady discusses National Disability Employment Awareness month with three guests. Lowel Gisel (Skill Development Program Manager at DNMM), Rhonda Henning of the Dow Chemical Company, and Elizabeth Gisse, a Northwood student and an employee at The ARC of Midland. Also discussed is Disability Mentoring Day. (DMD). DMD is a day-long event where students with disabilities tour company facilities throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region and also take part in small group discussions with mentors. Mentors are employees of participating companies and may or may not have a disability. DMD often opens up a world of opportunity to the students by giving them a glimpse of the many career and occupational choices available to them.
