Farley Post Office serves to uplift and inspire, representing the most ambitious upgrade to New York City’s transportation infrastructure in decades. The $1.6 billion project transformed the 108-year-old Farley Building into a modern, world-class facility, an idea first promoted by the late United States Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan more than a quarter century ago. Through restoration and renewal, the reinvention of the building expresses the ideals of New York and once again provides a grand gateway worthy of its people.
