"Face the Vitrine" is an installation created in collaboration with Yasmin in Elayat. It blurs the line between private and public space and explore how it feels to be watched, exposing our own gender and identity dynamics between subject and observer. How does society react to being observed when the act itself is exposed versus when it is concealed? It takes place in a storefront in downtown Cairo provided by Ismailia Company, and is funded by AFAC, and is launched as part of the 2013 edition of D-CAF (Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival).
