Hundreds of thousands have been displaced and are in need of immediate aid. This video documents a day in one of many relief operations in which volunteers have come out in overflowing numbers to try and do something for those who have lost their homes to the calamity - including many family members and friends. To this day, three days after the rains stopped, many people are without aid or lack adequate attention, and in some areas the water remains high and people need rescue. Many suburbs, though dry now, are covered in ankle-deep mud, and cleanup will require a massive effort.
