I couldn't have inherited Thums Up at a worse time. The cola business was mired in controversy because of baseless claims that they contained pesticides. To top it all, the celebrities who endorsed us refused to speak up for us. So I wrote this script with an old man who is full of life. He just says, "The whole world tells me I should live a quiet retired life and I shouldn't do things at my age like do road trips to Goa and drink my favourite Thums Up. But if there's one thing I know, it's that being happy makes me live long. And drinking Thums Up is one of the things that gives me joy." This worked like a charm and we were back in business.
