A brief clip produced by Hungarian Film in San Francisco about this year's Hungarian Film Festival (November 22-24). For three days the Hungarian Film Festival of San Francisco showed Hungarian features, documentaries and short films. Our two director-accompanied screenings packed the house at SFSU's Coppola Theater: Kolorado Kid (dir: Andras Vagvolgyi) and Heritage (dir. Réka Pigniczky ) each filled 130 seats with students, members of the Hungarian community and other interested parties. Hungary's Oscar nomination for 2013, The Notebook (dir: Janos Szasz) also drew about 80 people, as did Aglaya, a feature film by Krisztina Deak. The Fesitval, in its second year and organized by Steven Kovacs, Eva Homor and Réka Pigniczky on a zero budget, was sponsored by SFSU, Culture2inc, GALAXIS MEDIA, 56Films, Circumstances Creative Co., Katalin Voros and the Honorary Consulate General of Hungary in San Francisco. The festival was made possible with the cooperation of Bunyik Entertainment and the 13th Hungarian Film Festival of Los Angeles and organized as part of a university weekend course on Contemporary Hungarian Film, taught by Steven Kovacs. THANKS TO EVERYONE for making this such a great event!
