At least seven people are killed in a car bomb attack in Baghdad's Shi'ite neighborhood Sadr City.<br/> <br />It's the latest in a string of attacks across Iraq that left some 19 people dead.<br/> <br />There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing.<br/> <br />But the attacks come as Sunni Islamist insurgents have been regaining ground and are known to target Shi'ites.<br/> <br />The past year has seen violence return to levels unseen since the darkest days of the U.S. military campaign in Iraq when hundreds of civilians were killed every month.<br/> <br />Preliminary results from the April 30 parliamentary election are expected within the coming days. Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, a Shi'ite, is seeking a third term despite worsening violence that critics blame in no small part on his policies towards the country's Sunni minority.
