I am lost <br />But noone knows where to find me <br />I am alone <br />I can feel the warm ocean all around me, <br />comforting me <br />my body floats up and down with the passing waves <br /> <br />Tomorrow I fear that I will grow tired <br />Because I can't really touch the bottom <br />My mother is on the beach, too <br />She is staring at me <br />She does nothing because she can't <br />She hurts too much to even see me <br /> <br />I call to her, my mother <br />Her head turns in such a way <br />That indicates that something has gotten her attention, <br />Like a far-away siren <br />She may wonder what the siren is all about <br />She may even say a prayer for the person in trouble <br />But she won't. She can't. She is in her coffin already. <br />She just couldn't wait. <br /> <br />I wish i could help her but I am growing tired <br />She doesn't see me anyway.
