Moonlight nights with you reminds me <br />of hot Arabic nights that are wonderful and sweet <br />where the aromas of cinnamon and spices fill all the senses <br />and on our carpet leading to the marriage bed <br />rose petals are scattered everywhere, <br />and there is the promise <br />of earthly pleasures and fulfilment in the air <br />and a fire flickers in the corner <br /> <br />with the scent of vanilla and incense lingering <br />and somebody playing guitar in distance <br />as if the song is especially for us <br />and it's as if we are acting out a play, <br />senses are awakened <br />and we are bewitched in every moment <br />as if we are caught in a dream <br />and everything in me <br />is awakened and aroused by your touch <br />that binds me forever. <br /> <br />While the moon streams in though my bedroom's window <br />and the wind blows fragrant air from the garden <br />I awake from my dream <br />are aware of romance, the smells of the East, <br />of cinnamon and sandalwood <br />but I am still alone in my bed <br />and this is how we meet <br />at night in my dreams.<br /><br />Daleen Enslinstrydom<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/arabic-nights-2/
