You have hurt me deeply, and I wish that you could only see.
How much I want to overcome this, be let go and set free.
Yet I see your face often, yet no words are to be made.
And as I sit here and write this, I watch the few good memories we had slowly fade.
I tried so hard to work things out, yet you shattered me in everyway.
I wish there was somethings that you would do, some words I would like for you to say.
You quit on me easy, and this isn't easy to take.
You watched me drown in my own tears, as my heart began to slowly break.
The word 'Dad' I can't even remotely speak of.
You showed me many things, but rarely showed me love
I often wish things were different, that you would come around.
But you left your failed marriage ruin us, this is what I found.
I wish we could go back in time, and change what you have done to me
And maybe if we could go back in time, that you could possibly be.
A huge important place in my life, better yet in my heart.
But it would be hard to do this, because you were rarely there for me from the start.
This makes me hope your alchoholism eats you alive,
You've shut me out everytime, think of all the times I tried.
You couldn't look past the problems you and mom had.
Maybe if you did, I would call you 'Dad'.

Ashley Morrison

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/randy-my-father/
