Over the distant hills, <br />In snow thickened grass, <br />I saw my vision, <br />I had found my path. <br /> <br />The sky opened up, <br />The sun beamed down, <br />All the animals, <br />Had gathered round. <br /> <br />They brought with them, <br />Stories of told, <br />My eyes opened up, <br />As my journey unfolds. <br /> <br />I listened intently, <br />With Spiritual ears, <br />The message was told, <br />By the spirit of deer. <br /> <br />The message she brought, <br />Was about defeat, <br />How all of my demons, <br />Would soon be beat. <br /> <br />To open my eyes, <br />My soul and heart, <br />No matter how hard, <br />It was soon to part. <br /> <br />To take special care, <br />To the messages shared, <br />As they will guide, <br />And assist me there. <br /> <br />To listen to whispers, <br />Wind songs in keys, <br />And secrets adrift, <br />That comes on the breeze. <br /> <br />Hind and gently, <br />Alert and Keen, <br />I thanked her for vision, <br />Tonight in this dream. <br /> <br />© 2009 Wind Songs Spiritual Poetry<br /><br />Annalee Hopkins Somerville<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/deer-dreams/
