The 2014 Sziget Festival, one of the largest music and cultural events in Europe, is underway at “Old Buda Island” on the Danube in Budapest, Hungary.<br /><br />Performers from all over the globe queue up to strum and strut.<br /><br />As Sergey Shnurov from Russian group Leningrad confirms: “Sziget is really one of our favorite festivals, this is not the first time that we played here, and I hope it’s not the last.”<br /><br />Fans travel to the festival to frolic and flirt in fancy dress.<br /><br />An Italian male nun summed up the felling: “It is one of the most beautiful festivals, there is a lot of people here, many ladies, here is a beautiful lady, can I give you a kiss? ... Come to Budapest, come to the Sziget festival!”<br /><br />Euronews correspondent Andrea Hajagos and friends joined in the fun: “Although most of the performances get underway on Wednesday the party is already rocking.”<br /><br />The Sziget Festival runs until Sunday.
