Around this particle of dust I have formed... <br />being fed by the mere light around, <br />a warmth provided from far above, <br />formed by the love the sun bears. <br /> <br />Yet not all is heaven, <br />as others have formed around me, <br />being not so friendly as I, <br />just looking away when I wave. <br /> <br />All alone, as it begins to get dark around, <br />and large flashes of light wake me, <br />trembling in the comfort of my spec, <br />feeling so far away from everyone else. <br /> <br />Thus I decide to dive toward reality, <br />far away from my hostile environment, <br />falling among the gray layers around me, <br />yet so alone in my long trip. <br /> <br />Avoiding those in the darkness around, <br />until the area clears up and I feel the wind, <br />as I am blown away from this area, <br />no longer falling as I was before. <br /> <br />Even so then I see you in the distance, <br />heading toward the place I was going, <br />down to where all problems are resolved, <br />on that moment I began to fall for you. <br /> <br />Seeing that even though, <br />you were the identical to me, <br />you were unique at the same time, <br />as your shine filled my emptiness. <br /> <br />I admired you from the distance, <br />You never noticed me until the last moment, <br />The moment which I went all out for you, <br />And at that last moment… <br /> <br />I gave you a great hug, <br />Wrapped my whole being around you, <br />and with that finally you noticed me, <br />as this was the first step toward love. <br /> <br />Leading us to finally hit reality, <br />With each other’s life splashing, <br />You shared your whole life with me, <br />Showing me that after all I was not to fall alone.<br /><br />Javier Falcon<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-real-story-of-a-raindrop/
