Sometimes it’s hard to remember, <br />how it even got this way. <br />I’ve been trying to forget about him, <br />each and every day. <br />I’m sitting on my room, <br />thinking about what went wrong. <br />Is there something just not right about me? <br />That’s what I’ve thought all along. <br />The happiness has sunken, <br />and the pains begun to cut <br />like there’s no way to fix it all; <br />Those sores, they just won’t shut. <br />So long I’ve tried to cover it all; <br />keep it all tucked away. <br />But through every tear, every fear, <br />it just won’t seem to stay. <br />Inside I feel like I’m dieing. <br />If only he could see inside, <br />and how much I’ve been trying. <br />In his eyes I see there’s nothing left, <br />just that he’s moved on. <br />I wish he could see <br />how much it’s hurting me, <br />now that he is gone. <br />What should I expect? <br />It’s always gunna stay the same. <br />I’m always gunna end up again, <br />that worthless piece in his stupid game. <br />One day he could double back, <br />and see hat he was wrong. <br />One day he would double back, <br />and I’ll be singing a whole new song.<br /><br />Jessie Lynn Cross<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/it-s-all-gone-2/
