France is bidding farewell to the late Jacques Chirac,... a much beloved French politician.<br />In a nationally-televised speech on Thursday, French President Emmanuel Marcon paid his respects to Chirac,...describing him "a great Frenchman."<br />The usually luminous Eiffel Tower turned dark, commemorating Chirac, a prominent figure in French politics for five decades.<br />France will hold a national day of mourning on Monday.<br />Chirac died at the age of 86 on Thursday, after serving the country as the French leader, Prime Minister and Mayor of Paris.<br />
