This is the astonishing moment a barefooted Buddhist monk skillfully climbed a steep mountain while others struggled to reach the top.<br /><br />The religious devotee was seen carrying two bags up the incline while wearing orange robes on the outskirts of Vientiane, Laos on July 20.<br /><br />Other people had ropes and climbing gear but still struggled to reach the peak.<br /><br />Vung Lomlalaiy, one of the climbers, said: "The road to perfection is harder than the way to sin. The monk is so enlightened he has no problem walking up steep mountains.''<br /><br />Monks are respectable figures in the Buddhist country where they are worshiped as examples of righteousness.<br /><br />Some superstitious followers believe that the monks have supernatural powers like extraordinary strength to walk up hill with ease and speed.
