의원 밥값 올리면서 코로나 예산은 '싹둑'…과테말라 시위 격화<br /><br />Guatemala has suspended the final ratification of next year's controversial budget,.. following a violent protest,<br />Over the weekend, hundreds of protesters broke into the congress, setting fire to parts of the building.<br />They were angry at the government and lawmakers,... who approved the bill that cuts spending on education and health,...while increasing lawmakers' meal budget.<br />Thousands of others also protested in front of the National Palace in Guatemala City mostly peacefully.<br />The protestors claim the government passed the bill while people were distracted by two major hurricanes and COVID-19.<br />
