May the reflection turn, in the shadow above-
I will shed myself — so I can learn to love,
This black, stalking shadow that caught me too soon
Like an eclipse casts the sun upon the moon.

I hope that sometime, I'll be able to say,
Up at those silent stars — love's lost soul is grace,
As that darkest place, letting it through the bars.
Will it be the moon's ray or the renewed dawn's shine?

This truth that binds our tides and do not try to deny,
That we never stare death in his shadowless gaze.
To embrace coming days is to savor each breath,
What if life was a lie, (the first Apple) , she rides?

If death is behind this, all our sorrows and joys
We call life, as clouds can still cast shadows too soon.
The woman's past moon; the sun's future man.
Dusk's gun trashes his toys; dawn's flame steals her first kiss.

Hereby I proclaim a new sun casts it light like a flare.
I remain unconquered by any fear or dare.\n\nM.H.
