Boy, I have used some real garbage in the past and things didn't go so well. I'm so glad I found this app. It's fantastic. Just get it and never look back.

Good and fast

I’ve tried to tame my iPhotos w few different ways, but this app was fab. It suggests a whole bunch of categories to examine (duplicates, blurred, WhatsApp, large videos) and leaves the control in your hands. Perfect!’

I’m a huge Clean My Mac fan and have used it forever. But a couple seemingly innocent tasks on here and my contacts are messed up. Merging contacts doesn’t imply deleting contacts!

I’ve used Clean my Mac for several years and just added this app to my iPad. It’s working like a gem. Customer service is excellent, especially given their location. I have had to reach out to them a couple of times due to user error and they were able to walk me through the issue. Highly recommended.

Converting motion to still photos saved many terabytes of storage space. Other features to review blurry photos (or other space saving optimizations), also worked well.

Great idea, but frustrating bugs The idea behind this app is excellent, and everything works well until you get to the section for sorting similar photos. In this section, the photo selection checkboxes keep changing unexpectedly. Even when I manually uncheck all the photos, some selections randomly reappear over time, causing more photos to be deleted than intended. I spent a lot of time trying to organize my photos, only to end up frustrated and disappointed. This is a serious issue, especially when it comes to deleting personal photos. I hope the developers will fix this bug soon.

I LOVE Clean My Mac (the desktop app from this same developer), but this is nowhere near as good or functional. It doesn’t have the ability to review/remove apps, music, files, stored media or anything else that might clog up iPhone storage. It offers to clean out contacts, but in my case all it tried to do was combine completely unrelated contacts into single contact cards (not helpful). It offers email storage management but requires permission to send/receive email using your account (huge red flag). Beyond that, it seems almost exclusively focused on cleaning out your photos library, and doesn’t even do that well. It does not distinguish between iCloud and locally stored media, so it has no idea what actually needs cleaning (it offers to eliminate files that aren’t even on your phone). It offers to compress video files but doesn’t seem to give you any control over video compression settings (seems like a very bad idea). It offers to eliminate “blurry” photos but includes ALL lo res thumbnails of iCloud stored pics (for me this was over 100,000 photos) Unfortunately, two thumbs way down.

My phone was full of so many files that needed to be deleted. It works perfectly. Highly recommend this app. I also use Clean My Mac and it has totally cleaned up my Mac which was in bad shape. I highly recommend all the MacPaw software.
