Another game that has absolutely nothing to do with what the ads show that the game is. This is just another match three game like the other millions of match three games out there. Another developer to add to my “do not install” list.

Right in the middle of an adventure, it stops giving access to the map. I can’t explore because there is no way to move on. I threw $$ down the drain

I love the game but cannot access the items in the heirloom and special research papers collections after completing the case in the arena of madness and the help page offers nothing. I deleted the game & reinstalled. If I click the location icon it just takes me to a place in the clouds but no way to actually access it.

Very poor taste in this game, I have played Mystery Matters for a long time, and unfortunately, it no longer feels like the game I originally downloaded and enjoyed. In the beginning, it had an engaging mystery, interesting characters, hidden-object scenes, and a good balance of puzzles. Now it feels like the match-3 levels have taken over the entire game. The levels have become unnecessarily difficult, especially the hard and super-hard ones. Players can repeat the same level many times, lose all their boosters, and still be unable to move forward. Even worse, it now takes several completed levels and far too many stars just to advance a small part of the story. The rewards have not increased enough to match the higher difficulty, so coins and boosters disappear quickly. This makes the game feel less like entertainment and more like pressure to spend money on extra moves, boosters, passes, and packages. When a game repeatedly sets players up to fail and then offers paid help, it stops feeling fair or enjoyable. I am also concerned that AI or automated systems may be influencing the game’s level difficulty, rewards, offers, dialogue, customer support, or the way individual players are encouraged to spend money. I cannot confirm that this is happening, but parts of the game now feel repetitive, impersonal, and calculated in a way they did not before. If AI or automated decision-making is being used, Playrix should be transparent about how it affects gameplay, purchases, rewards, and the player’s overall experience. Players deserve real answers from human support—not repetitive automated responses that fail to address their concerns. Many longtime players are making the same complaints: harder levels, slower story progress, rewards that do not match the effort required, missing rewards, and too much emphasis on purchases. Please stop ignoring loyal players. Bring back a fair balance between the mystery, hidden-object scenes, mini-games, and match-3 levels. Reduce the number of stars required to continue the story, make rewards worthwhile, and stop designing levels that appear intended to drain boosters and coins. I truly enjoyed this game, which is why this is so disappointing. I am now ready to delete it. A game should be challenging, but it should also be fair and fun—not exhausting, repetitive, impersonal, and increasingly expensive. And really doesn’t deserve a star!!!
  • Punishing Active Players

I have played this game for several years now. Mainly for the storyline as a match game is a match game. Each level you beat gives you 5, 7, or 10 stars based on difficulty. I just started the newest story arc and the first task in the story was 50 stars to unlock! Up to 10 levels beat for 3 lines of dialogue! The arcs are broken down into days and the days consist of tasks. Some days have 30+ tasks to finish that part of the arc. That means you could possibly have 180 tasks to finish an arc at 50 stars each one. That’s around 1800 levels. They have gotten greedy with long time players and shouldn’t expect continued usage at high levels if they’re going to set it up like this. The tasks should cost half as much to maintain the work needed without making it so challenging that few would want to progress. Very disappointing to have to give up a game I have really enjoyed over the years.
  • The Game is fun, too bad it’s super buggy and Support is non-existent.

The new game, Arena of Madness, has a bug blocking completion of Collection Items. When clicking on an item in the area search Paper or Heirloom task lists, I am taken to an area of fog I can’t access and it doesn’t drop a pin on how to get to it. The border is completely closed off. So now I can’t finish the Collection and I’m super annoyed because Support won’t answer me and the typical delete app/restart phone/re-download app doesn’t fix this bug. Come on, Playrix, pull it together and hire a decent QA team and Support staff.
  • Loved this game until it glitched

The game glitched and customer service is basically non-existent. You chat with a bot which cannot help, then you are expected to await a notification of a reply but if you don’t reply quickly enough, the chat is ended and your issue is unresolved. There used to be an option to be contacted via email but now you have to be at their mercy for a response in a chat that can be ended at their whim. Just going to delete after several years of game play.
