Description

When 12 ordinary members of the Women's Institute, a prim and proper local ladies' club, decide they need to find a more compelling way to raise money for a new charity, they turn to their traditional annual calendar and give it a very untraditional twist. Behind the usual baked goods, the apple pressing, and the flower arrangements are the women -- completely nude! Starring 2003 Golden Globe nominee Helen Mirren (Best Actress, Calendar Girls) and Julie Walters (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets), Calendar Girls is a terrifically entertaining comedy. And that's the naked truth.

This movie is a complete waste of time. There is just a bunch of old ladies sowing their hooters, ( which by the way are totally unsexy) and they think their 16 year old son would like seeing naked ladies in their 50's. worst movie i've ever seen

When I first rented this movie, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. However, it turned out to be another great British film. I am always very entertained by the dry sense of humor that comes along with films filled with britons. This is a great movie for a night in!

I happen to like this movie, but I would like to know why the people who don't like it, don't like it. "Calendar Girls. Enough said" is not a review. I like this movie because it is inspiring and funny. It also has an all-star cast. Julie Walters is 'Molly Weasley' in Harry Potter and Helen Mirren won an Oscar for "The Queen". Excellent movie!!!! A ton of replay potential!!

This comedy is topnotch! A sweet blend of story line and worthy actresses, it is entertaining, amusing, with just enough drama to counter act the sweetness. Do not expect something too sappy, because there is plenty of emotion and heartbreak, but the strength of heart and the grace of these women is truly inspiring, and worthy of buying the actual DVD.
  • Very tastefully done by a terrific cast of fine actors

This is a fine film with just the right mix of comedy and sadness. Authentic Yorkshire accents add a nice touch. This isn't a movie that would be appreciated by anyone looking for "airbrushed, young skin". If you're looking for sexpots, go elsewhere.

It was meant for certian people, not all people. But it is a okay movie anyway. It would definetly be better if the people in the movie were younger, and they posed for a different cause. Whoever likes to cry and laugh, this is a movie for you.
