"Gomorrah" is an up-close look at the violent underworld of the Camorra, Naples' deadly organized crime group. This film is a must for connoisseurs of the gangster genre, but be warned: "Gomorrah" does not contain the romanticization of mob life, as portrayed in "The Godfather" and similar films. This is not a criticism, as "The Godfather" is an all-time favorite. The point here is that "Gomorrah" is a very different kind of gangster movie. It shares more in common with "City of God" than with most other crime films.
